The East Riding Engine Club

The  East Riding Engine Club was formed in 1989 by a group of steam & vintage machinery enthusiasts with the aim of taking on the promotion and organisation of the annual Driffield Steam and Vintage Rally. Now celebrating its 28th year, the club has gone from strength to strength running a very successful and popular event and in so doing has raised many thousands of pounds for local charities.

Although the rally which is held in August is the main focus of the Club, there is also an enjoyable social aspect with regular meetings held during the year.  The January meeting normally commences with presentations to the various charities supported by the Club followed by a quiz. Other meetings have guest speakers on a wide range of topics of general interest to the members. There is also the annual dinner held in March.

Presently the Club has a membership of over 150. Although many of the members live in the East Riding of Yorkshire there is strong representation from the rest of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

As a friendly, thriving organisation, the East Riding Engine Club is always pleased to welcome new members of all ages. If you would like further information about the Club and how to become a member please contact the Membership Secretary, Jasmine Stocker, on 01377 538088.
